1. PROMOTER

This promotional competition is conducted by The Queen Pet Shop ("The Queen") in partnership with Montego Pet Nutrition (Pty) Ltd ("Montego") (collectively referred to as "the Promoters").

2. COMPETITION PERIOD

The competition will commence on 25 June 2026 at 00:01 and close on 31 July 2026 at 23:59 ("Competition Period").

No entries received after the closing date and time will be accepted.

The winner will be selected on 4 August 2026 and announced on 5 August 2026.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1 The competition is open to all legal residents of South Africa who are 18 years of age or older.

3.2 Directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, and immediate family members of The Queen Pet Shop, Montego Pet Nutrition, their affiliated companies, advertising agencies, and competition partners are not eligible to enter.

3.3 By participating in this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

4. HOW TO ENTER

4.1 Purchase any participating Montego Karoo product from any The Queen Pet Shop store during the Competition Period.

4.2 Only purchases made from The Queen Pet Shop stores during the Competition Period qualify for entry into the competition.

4.3 Scan the competition QR code displayed in-store or on competition promotional material.

4.4 Complete the entry form in full and submit all required information.

4.5 Participants may enter multiple times, provided that each entry is linked to a separate qualifying purchase.

4.6 Participants must retain their original proof of purchase (till slip or invoice) for each entry submitted, as it will be required to validate the winning entry and claim the prize.

5. PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS

All Montego Karoo products sold by The Queen Pet Shop during the Competition Period qualify for entry into the competition.

6. PRIZE

6.1 One (1) winner will receive a cash prize of R30,000 (Thirty Thousand Rand).

6.2 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for any alternative prize.

6.3 Montego will credit The Queen Pet Shop for the prize value, and The Queen Pet Shop will facilitate the prize handover and payment to the verified winner.

7. WINNER SELECTION

7.1 One winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the Competition Period.

7.2 The draw will take place on 4 August 2026.

7.3 A Montego representative will be present during the draw process. Alternatively, the draw process may be conducted via a recorded virtual meeting for auditing and verification purposes.

7.4 The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided on the entry form.

7.5 If the selected winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days, declines the prize, fails the verification process, or fails to provide a valid proof of purchase, the winner will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected.

8. WINNER VERIFICATION

8.1 Before the prize is awarded, the selected winner must provide:

• A valid South African identity document, passport, or driver's licence;
• The original proof of purchase (till slip or invoice) corresponding to the winning entry;
• Any additional information reasonably required by the Promoters to verify the validity of the entry.

8.2 The original proof of purchase must be presented in order to claim the prize.

8.3 Failure to provide a valid original proof of purchase within seven (7) days of notification will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.

8.4 The Promoters reserve the right to verify the authenticity of all entries and proof of purchase documentation.

8.5 Any fraudulent, altered, duplicated, illegible, incomplete, or invalid proof of purchase will result in immediate disqualification.

9. PUBLICITY

9.1 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity related to the competition, including photographs, videos, social media posts, and promotional activities, without additional compensation.

9.2 Should the winner decline participation in publicity activities, this will not affect their right to receive the prize.

10. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

10.1 Personal information collected during the competition will be used solely for the administration of the competition and for contacting entrants regarding competition-related matters.

10.2 All personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

10.3 Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties except where necessary for the administration of the competition or as required by law.

11. GENERAL

11.1 The Promoters reserve the right to verify all entries and participants.

11.2 The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or who acts fraudulently.

11.3 The Promoters reserve the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time if circumstances beyond their reasonable control make such action necessary.

11.4 The Promoters, their directors, employees, agents, and suppliers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

11.5 The judges' decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

11.6 This competition is conducted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, and all other applicable South African laws governing promotional competitions.
